DUPLEX LOFT | SOHO

This ultra chic loft duplex [Soho, NY] designed and delivered by David Hoston Architects is nothing other than urban perfection. A white canvas of bespoke furnishings, encapsulated around a deeper, darker, more intense reading room gives this development a sense of a dual personality.

Hoston has managed to retain the properties dramatic period features yet also created something intriguingly dynamic. The true epitome of modernism.

Tom Dixon has announced the first of four upcoming collaborations. The British designer will be working alongside sports brand Adidas to create an exclusive clothing and footwear range. Premiering next month at Milan Design Week (MOST), this is without a doubt a project that will take Dixons design expertise to the next level.

DINING | ATERA NY

Located within a nondescript commercial building hidden amongst New Yorks TriBeCa neighborhood,  Parts & Labour Design have created an unassuming, lucrative and intimate dining experience. With a concept that represents the chefs experimental and intensely refined approach to food, the details in design are something to be experienced first hand.

Exclusively seating 18, the restaurant truly is one of a kind. Atera also boasts two further undisclosed experiences. A library, acting as a study area for the head chef and formal tasting room for selected guests, along with an accessible bar/lounge prior to the exit, effectively creating a tailored, unique and memorable departure.

THE MAYBE | MUSEUM OF MODERN ART

Art enthusiast and famed actress Tilda Swinton brings back 'The maybe'. A living installation first debuted back in London [1995] this particular appearance was unannounced and even more so unexpected. Although word is out that Swinton will complete numerous installations, locations and dates of such are being kept tight lipped.

Located on Barcelonas sought after avenue Passeig de Gracia, this listed building dates back to 1906 and houses one of the cities most ultra chic boutique hotels.

El Palauet consists of a limited six suites, each self contained, with separate living, sleeping and dining space. The hotel boasts period features throughout, with contemporary furnishings by world renowned designers complimenting such. The exclusivity doesn't finish here however, El Palauet provides guests with a personal assistant, providing and organising necessary requests such as in-house chef, personal shopping, stylist and massage services. With a rooftop state of the art spa featuring, sauna, waterbed, solarium, chill out lounge and terrace with views over the stunning city, this really is the perfect weekend escape.

CHICKEN POT CABIN | by OSLONG KUNDIG ARCHITECTS

Inspired by the projects intense Northern Idaho forest surroundings, Chicken Pot Cabin portrays the simplicity of a 'little box nestled amongst woodlands'. Oslong Kundig incorporated a vast 30ft window-wall that opens onto the surrounding landscape.A feature that not only is visually appealing, but also gives a true connection to the projects location.

Structurally comprising of raw materials, with concrete block, steel and plywood forming the development the cabin was purposely built from a low-maintenance perspective. Kundig wanted minimal impact upon surroundings.

An effortlessly modern, yet chic hideaway.
